Tutoring Position Overview
The Ally Learning tutoring role for Elementary, Middle, and High School students involves delivering personalized instruction tailored to each student’s needs to enhance their academic performance. Tutors will implement Ally Learning’s unique approach, which emphasizes mentorship and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt intervention strategies, tutoring plans, or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
- Review class material with students through discussions, problem-solving practice, and the review of worksheets and assignments.
- Assist students in grasping new concepts while reinforcing their understanding of previously learned material.
- Teach students effective study habits, note-taking skills, organizational techniques, and test-taking strategies.
- Check and evaluate completed assignments and homework.
- Build strong rapport with students and their parents/guardians.
- Maintain detailed tutor logs to track student progress and communicate this information to students, parents, or teachers using the online TeachWorks system.
- Provide constructive feedback using positive reinforcement to motivate and boost students’ confidence.
- Keep accurate records of students’ assessment results, progress, feedback, and school performance, while ensuring the confidentiality of all information.
